The new 1911 Mount is based on the standard stock being typical. Compression of the wood between the trigger/magazine plate holds everything together, so if your stock is thicker than normal the mount will apply a bit too much pressure at the intended contact point of the rear of the mount and receiver. The way to recognize this is to mount the scope and bore check for dead center alignment. If its even a tiny bit off, ship it to us.
If your stock seems to be a thicker one, don't mess around with it. Ship the mount directly to us, we'll make the 10,000" modification at the contact point and return the mount to you immediately. We'll cover shipping both ways.
I think we'll make the modification on all new mounts shipped just in case there are more of these stocks out there. Go here for shipping info.
